Congratulations to Tammy & Dan Achter on the birth of their baby boy. He was born on January 24th weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 21 “ long.
His name is Silas Daniel Achter.
Thanks to all those who helped with meals!

* Don't forget that Stake Conference is coming up January 28th (Adult Session is at 7 p.m.) and January 29th (General Session is from 10-12 a.m.) 

* Official 2011 Tax Statements are available in the clerk's office.

* February 4th is the Stake Relief Society Meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the Stake Center. It will be followed by a luncheon.

* March 14th is our Stake Relief Society Birthday Social. Paul Cardall is going to be a guest speaker....more details to come.

- Cindy Hafen - Mother lives in Bountiful but everything was alright after wind storm.

- Stake Youth Fireside (tonight) at 7 p.m.
- Stake High Priest Banquet, Nov. 5th at 6 p.m.
- Super Saturday, Nov. 5th from 9 - 12 p.m. (ALL orders and money needs to be turned in today)
- Fireside for Young Single Adults and married couples, Nov. 6th at 6 p.m.  It will be held in the multipurpose room at the Stake Center.
- Temple workers are desperately needed...if you are interested please contact a member of the bishopric.
- The next teacher development class is going to be on Nov. 6th from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m. in the seminary building.

- Dallin Warner received his Duty to God award as a Deacon and advanced to the office of Teacher.

SACRAMENT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

- Choir Practice Sunday's at 2:10 in the Seminary Building

- Neighborhood BBQ on September 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Millrace Park.  Please invite your neighbors.  Food...fun...games.  A representative from Taylorsville City will also give civic information.

- Teacher Development Class - Held every other Sunday on the stage at 9:30 a.m.  The next class will be held on September 4th.

- The Primary Program will be held on September 18th.  There will be a practice on Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 a.m. 

GOOD NEWS MINUTES:

- Doreen Evans said that her son, Jordan and family are here visiting from Germany for three weeks. 

- Collin Fuller is working on his Eagle Scout Project.  He is collecting reading books and supplies for a school in Sudan.  More information coming....

- Karalee Olson lost two of her kids to college this week.  Both Morgan and Preston moved out to attend UVU for school. 

- Shannon Lovell had a wonderful time on her trip to Maryland.

It has been a few weeks since I've posted, so I'm putting everything I can remember in this post.....  Get ready and brace yourselves...there's a lot to cover.  Here we go:

* The missionaries are in need of a place to live.  If you know of a home or apartment, please contact a member of the bishopric.

* On September 10th, we will be having a Neighborhood BBQ at the park from 6 to 9 p.m.  You don't want to miss it....put it on your calendar now.

* Autumn Larsen is expecting her second child, a girl, on December 12th.  Congrats!

* Heidi Bates is expecting a child on February 5th.  Congrats!

* Melissa Wyatt gave birth to her little girl, Sherry Audrey on July 24th.  She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz.  She's beautiful....  Melissa says she is a great baby, even giving her six hours of sleep last night.

- Adam Davis advanced to the office of Elder and received the Melchizedek Priesthood. 

- Austin Michaelis received his mission call to Samara, Russia.  Today was his farewell and he will enter the MTC this coming Wednesday.  We wish him the very best!

GOOD NEWS MINUTES FROM RELIEF SOCIETY:

- Tammie Achter is pregnant and due on January 27th.

- Toni Gull recently received her patriarchal blessing.

- Ari Fuller has worked hard to record her harp music to CD's.  Call her if you are interested in getting a copy.

- Jaymie Nava went through the temple for the first time this week.

- There's a blood drive on June 24th at the East Building, 3 to 8 p.m. 

- There will be a Youth Conference Meeting today at 5 p.m. at the Stake Center.

- Combined (Youth/Adult) Temple Dinner on June 25th at 6 p.m., $8.50 per plate.

- Five of our ward members recently made the rank of Eagle.  Congrats to Adam Black, McKay Lago, Brock Wengren, Ben Clements and Jake Pulver. 

- On June 26th there will be a youth fireside at Brother and Sister Lyon's home at 7 p.m.  They will go over high school dating and online pornography.  Refreshments will be served.

{Catch Up}

Val and Christine Day were called to the Bridgeside Ward
as missionaries and start their two year mission on June 5th.
In no particular order, here are a few things that I have not posted and wanted to remind you of or let you know of....

* Gabby Lundeberg announced she and Kevin are expecting (not sure of her due date).

* There is a combined Adult / Youth temple activity on (Saturday) June 25th.  Meet at the Jordan River Temple at 6:00 p.m. for dinner. The youth will do baptisms.  The cost for dinner is $8.50; list on tithing as "Other-Temple Dinner".

* Shelly Medley was called as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor.

* Erin and Kyle (?) were called as Sunday School Teachers.

* CONGRATS to our recent Seminary Graduates - Bonnie Barrett, Brock Wengren, Aly-Marie Clements, Morgan Olson, Brooke Oswald and Jake Pulver.

* Morningside Lunch Bunch - This is a once a month potluck lunch and play group hosted at Sally Troth's home (1296 Morning Vista Drive).  The next activity is scheduled for June 28th (Tuesday) from 10 to 1 p.m.  If you are interested in being notified of future activities and/or signing up for this activity, contact Sally.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
* If your child is planning on going to Youth Conference, you need to let the YW/YM President know as soon as possible (if they don't know already).

* Neighborhood Service Day is Saturday, May 7th from 8:00 to 12:00.  Meet at Misty View Circle with your edgers, mowers and anything else along those lines. 

* We have been assigned to clean the Ward Building this month so be watching for a schedule.

* Temple Prep classes starts today.  Contact the bishop if you are interested in attending.

* Seminary Graduation will be held on May 15th at 6 p.m.

* Kristy Lago turned 12 recently and has now advanced to Young Women.

* Orla Beth Peck is now the Ward Bulletin Specialist.

* Jennifer Zito, Brooke Oswald and Orianna Erekson were called as Primary Teachers.

Announcements  April 17, 2011  Relief Society
Thank you for the service rendered in behalf of Youth Fundraiser on Sat. night.
The contributions, help and yummy salads made the event a success.
Meals needed for :
Doreen Evans family: she is having surgery to remove a benign tumor on Tuesday.
Truman Hill, husband of Mindy is also having a tumor removed.
Roy Sandoval, husband of Patty is coming home from the hospital after suffering a brain bleed.
Condolence goes to Michaelis Family on the passing of Craig’s Mom.
Blood Drive this Friday, Apr 22nd.  East building from 3-8pm.
Shelly Medley is looking for someone to watch her baby a few days each week while she works.
Good News Minutes:
Julie Henricksen:  Young single adults enjoyed the $200 cupcakes
Claudia Pranter:  announced a new grandbaby due in October and her oldest son is moving to Romania.  He works for the F.B.I.
Shanni Nava:  Jaymie is submitting her mission papers on May 4th.  (I think)
