Jake's mission is the Family and Church History Headquarters Mission. He could receive an assignment anywhere on the mission campus which includes the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Family History Library, the Church History Library, or the Church Office building. There are a few that have the privilege of serving in the Granite Mountain Records Vault. Missionaries perform many functions including assisting patrons to do research in person, by mail, telephone, or on the internet; acquiring and preserving family history records; preparing names for the temple; supporting stake records extraction programs; correcting temple records; providing product and program technical support; and working with Church historical records. He will have the opportunity to attend Music and the Spoken Word and General Conference.
